Teen Numbers

We are learning to understand 'teen' numbers.
We are learning that 'teen' means ten.Teen numbers have 10 and some more.

11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19

We made bundles of ten ice block sticks and then got some more to make different 'teen numbers'

 

Tools and Toys

We are learning to be Firewise.
We are learning about tools and toys.

We sorted pictures into 2 groups. 
We had to say if it was a tool or a toy.

Tools are things we use with grown ups and our parents.  They can help us to do jobs.
Toys are things we can play with and are fun.

                         

Snail Maths

We are learning to order numbers to 100.

We have snails in our classroom which we love, we used snails to help us learn maths.

Making New Words

This week we are learning the word 'and'.
We added some new letter sounds the the beginning of 'and' to make some new words.
Look at what we made.

We are resilient!

We are learning how we can be resilient.
We will know we are resilient when we don't give up!

We were happy that Kiwican came back to school today.
They are teaching us about being resilient.

We played lots of fun games with Kiwican.  Sometimes if we did the wrong action we had to go back to the start and try again.  If we tried again and didn't give up we were showing resilience!

Lara's Writing

Wow Pukeko class, you just keep on reading!  We have now as a class read 250 books on EPIC!
