 Today our writing task was to take a photo of something VERY close up and then write about what it is. Can you guess what Marley's object is before you read his writing?

Google Hangout Background Fun!

Today we started our Google Hangout with lots of fun and laughter as we played with the background options.  Some of us were disappearing - it was like magic!

Marley's Home Learning

 Marley has been keeping busy at home and is working hard on his online learning.

He watched and completed our online experiment and did some amazing writing.

Harper's Home Learning

 Harper has been busy at home making a diary of what she is doing each day with her baby sister.  

Look at this great writing she did about watching a movie from a hut she has made.

This looks like great fun Harper.

Making a City.

We were making a city.

We were making roads for the cars and the trucks.

We made an elevator.

We put a doctor in the city in case someone gets poisoned or hurt or sick.

We put a fire station in our city.  And an ambulance and police station too.

We wrote signs for our city.

Tomorrow we will make a school for our city.

Marley's Chocolate Robot

 Marley drew and wrote about a chocolate robot!  Doesn't it look and sound delicious! 

Marvellous Maths Eyes

Today on our Hangout hui Marley used his marvellous maths eyes to notice all these things in the picture with Mrs Masters.  Ziggy also helped us with counting in 5's when he joined our chat.  Ka rawe boys! 

Aria's Science Experiment.

Aria did a Science experiment.  

She put some blue dye in one glass. 

Some red dye in the other glass.

Then she put a handie towel going from the blue one into the middle empty glass and a handie towel going from the red one into the middle empty glass.

Look what happened after a while. The middle glass filled up with purple liquid!

I wonder how that happened?

Give it a go at home and see what happens.

Marley's Measuring Maths

Marley did some measuring today. He wanted to find out which container held the most and which held the least amount of water. 

What an awesome job he did. 

He tried out so many different containers.

He found out:

 "that milk bottle had the most water in it and the beef stock the smallest."

Marley's Marvellous Scarecrow

Marley and his whanau have made this marvellous scarecrow to protect their plants from the birds because the birds are eating their plants.

This is such a cool scarecrow.  I hope it does its job and keeps those birds away.

Aria's Craft

Aria has been so busy at home working on her creative craft.

Marley is Fit!

Marley and his whanau really enjoyed doing the 5 minute superhero workout on our class site today.  Ka pai Marley, I'm glad you enjoyed it. 

I Spy and Maths Problem Solving

 Today our our Google Hangout we played a game of I spy as one of our activities.  It was lots of fun. 

We also worked on some of our maths problem from yesterdays learning slides.

Ollie the Engineer!

Ollies feat of engineering this afternoon was to build a new clothesline. He had to figure out how to make it balance and stabilize it because of the wind. He was very proud of it! 

What an amazing job Ollie! I wonder what you will design and make next.

Marley's Monday Mahi (Gardening and Writing)

Marley has been busy planting seeds.  I like planting seeds too.  I like the way Marley and his whanau have used colours sticks to marl the rows where the seeds are.

I wonder what seeds Marley has sown?

I wonder who else has been gardening during our time at home.

I am so impressed with your writing again today Marley.  I love talking to you about your wonderful ideas and seeing you put these down on paper.  You drawings are always so detailed and thoughtful.  Thank you for sharing you work.

Marley's Weekend Adventures

Marley did some more mahi on the weekend and also went for a BIG walk with his whanau in his bubble.

Wow Marley, this really made me smile.  What wonderful work you have been doing.  Did you see a spider on a web outside to think of this or do you just like spiders?

Wow Marley, I love how detailed your bee picture is.  I can see antennae, a head, thorax and abdomen! I also love the stinger you have put on your bee.

Ziggy's Bird Nest Art!
